The Woodlands Choir Record A CD

Just over a year ago, the Woodlands Choir was formed, and what a wonderful journey it has been. We are so lucky to have such a talented and enthusiastic group of residents who all share a love of music. Among our singers are music teachers, the Head of the Tenors from the Sweet Adelines Choir, and many who simply enjoy singing together and being part of something special.
Working alongside The Rock Rooms and their founder Keith, who encourages people to get involved in music in every way, the idea for the choir quickly took shape. After speaking with residents, we decided to record a Christmas CD that could be given to their families as a heartfelt gift.
The recording sessions took place here at Woodlands in small, relaxed sessions so no one felt overwhelmed. The happiness and excitement during those moments were clear to see. That same joy has been captured in the recording and can be heard in every song.

The Positive Power Of Singing Together
Being part of a choir brings so many benefits, especially for people living with dementia. Research shows that singing in a group can support mental, physical, and social wellbeing. It lifts spirits, helps with memory and concentration, and creates a sense of connection and belonging.
Here at Woodlands, the choir has done more than make beautiful music. It has built confidence, friendships, and a wonderful sense of community that everyone feels proud to be part of.
Families and friends are invited to enjoy the wonderful sounds of the Woodlands Choir. Keep an eye out for our next performance and come celebrate the amazing talent in our community. Contact us today.
