Residents Enjoy a Memorable Day at Balmedie Beach

Residents from Woodlands Care Home recently enjoyed a fantastic day out at Balmedie Beach, creating wonderful memories and experiencing the joy of being by the sea.
Thanks to the incredible support of Balmedie Beach Wheelchairs, residents were able to explore the beach with ease, using specially designed wheelchairs that make it possible to travel across the sand and enjoy the coastline more comfortably. The adapted equipment allowed residents to get closer to the water and experience the beach in a way that may not have otherwise been possible.

The day was filled with sunshine, laughter and plenty of smiles as residents enjoyed the fresh sea air, beautiful surroundings and the chance to spend time outdoors. Some residents even had the opportunity to go into the water, making the experience even more special.
We were also delighted to be joined by our friends from Laurels Lodge Care Home, making it a wonderful opportunity for residents from both homes to come together, socialise and share in the experience.
At Woodlands Care Home, we believe that meaningful experiences and opportunities to stay connected with the local community play an important role in supporting residents’ wellbeing. Days like this provide more than just a change of scenery, they create opportunities for adventure, independence and lasting memories.

A huge thank you goes to Balmedie Beach Wheelchairs for making this incredible experience possible and helping our residents enjoy the beach in such a special way.
