Arts & Crafts

As one of our regular activities, we offer arts and crafts for residents to get involved in. The benefits of this are endless; it allows our residents to bring out their creative side and really gives them the freedom to express themselves however they want to. These sessions are held regularly and are open to anybody within the home who is interested in this, including friends and family.

Our Events and Well-being Coordinator team works hard to come up with various exciting tasks inclusive to all. The team collaborates with residents and takes on board any feedback to make sure the programme is tailored to them in the best way possible. No two sessions will be the same, which is one of the many wonderful things about our arts and crafts programme.

A Brilliant Way to Make Friends

Our arts & crafts programme promotes a social setting where new friendships can be established. Holding the sessions in one space means that residents can chat with each other whilst continuing with their crafts which can encourage lifelong bonds within the Woodlands family. Our sessions are not only open to residents but to any friends, family and loved ones that wish to join in too.

Something for Everyone

There are so many different choices of arts and crafts for residents to take part in, including knitting, paper crafts, painting, flower arranging and so much more. There is always a clear goal in mind for most sessions in order to assist, guide and motivate residents, but there is always room for residents to add their own uniqueness to these crafts. If residents have an idea for a session in mind, the activities team encourages recommendations and feedback, so that all classes they hold are of the best quality and residents continue to look forward to them.
