Residents at Woodlands Care Home in Aberdeen enjoyed a delightful group outing to the Mains of Drum Garden Centre, creating a wonderful blend of tradition and new memories. The Mains of Drum holds a special place in the hearts of many residents, evoking memories of family outings and cherished traditions.
For years, the garden centre has been a go-to destination, and our residents were excited to revisit this beloved spot. The outing aimed not only to uphold cherished traditions but also to forge new memories for our residents. Residents specifically enjoyed seeing all the wonderful Christmas decorations displayed within the garden centre, it got everyone in the festive spirit.
While many residents enjoyed perusing the shopping offerings, it was the café that held particularly fond memories for them. Each resident had a specific dish they favoured to warm them up on a crisp winter day, and we decided to combine a bit of Christmas shopping with a delightful lunch at the café.
The outing proved to be a heartwarming experience, as residents relished the opportunity to engage in holiday shopping while savouring the familiar and comforting atmosphere of the Mains of Drum Garden Centre.
