Enriching Outing to Mains of Drum
Residents at Woodlands Care Home in Aberdeen recently enjoyed a group excursion to the Mains of Drum Garden Centre, blending cherished traditions with new experiences. This renowned destination holds sentimental value for many residents, evoking fond memories of family outings and special moments.
The outing was a delightful opportunity for residents to revisit a beloved spot that has been a cherished destination for years. Beyond upholding cherished traditions, the aim was to create new memories for our residents. With the festive season in full swing, the beautifully adorned Christmas decorations displayed throughout the garden centre, igniting a sense of holiday cheer.
While exploring the shopping offerings, it was the café that evoked particularly nostalgic sentiments for our residents. Each resident had their favourite dish, reminiscent of cosy winter days spent enjoying comforting meals. To enhance the experience, we combined a bit of Christmas shopping with a delightful lunch at the café, creating a memorable and heartwarming outing for all.
The excursion provided residents with a heartwarming experience, as they indulged in holiday shopping amidst the familiar and comforting ambiance of the Mains of Drum Garden Centre.
